Hey there! We are in the midst of a pretty crazy week here at Gull Lake Ministries! Everyday seems full to the brim and it hasn’t left a whole lot of time for blogging. Thought I would do a quick pregnancy update today for you!
What’s going on with the baby?
Our baby is now 6 ounces and is swallowing, blinking, and sucking. Fat is starting to form under his/her skin to help insulate and prepare our baby for life outside the womb. It’s crazy to think about our baby’s blinking it’s little eyes right now! So sweet!
What’s going on with mom?
This has been a pretty busy start of the week for me and due to that I am feeling the fatigue set in again. I also was on my feet quite a bit and have seen a bit of swelling in my feet due to that—although it goes down pretty quickly. I’ve also been losing some hair everyday in the shower. Good thing I have lots of it! (I could probably lose half my hair-not that I want to-and still have normal hair thickness.) The belly is definitely coming in!
How’s exercise going?
Exercise the last week was okay. I seem to average about 3 days of workouts and then a few less intense days of just walking. Strength training and running seem to really sap me of energy instead of the other way around so I’m still trying to figure out how to stay active and healthy while not crashing everyday. This week I haven’t done any technical workouts but have been very active at work—running around, helping set and clear after meals, etc.
I know I’m not even halfway there, but it still seems like I have been pregnant for so long and that I’ll be pregnant forever! ha! I’m sure this feeling will intensify towards the end, but I’m ready go get the show on the road—patience has never been my strong point. Just a few more weeks though until we know if we’re having a boy or girl and that will be awesome! I’m so ready just to know that! It would be incredibly hard to wait the whole pregnancy to find out! I’m too much of a planner for that anyways. lol! All in all it’s been a good week. Busy, but good and thankfully I have had just the strength I need for whatever is going on.
Did you find out what gender you were having? Or will you someday? Why or why not?
Any tips on exercising during pregnancy so I don’t totally “drain the tank” ?
