Virtual Coffee Date

Hey friends! Let’s have coffee together shall we?

chatting over coffee

If we were on a coffee date I would tell you my most exciting news that my baby boy slept 7 hours last night! Yes! All the hallelujahs and praises. He’s been consistently sleeping 5ish hour stretches, but last night he slept from his dream feed at 11:30 all the way till 7. (We use a combination of Babywise and The Baby Whisperer sleep techniques–read more on our baby sleep tips here!) Which means this week I have gotten the best sleep I have had in well over 2 months! Yay! So my coffee cup is not quite as big this morning as it has been the past few months….just kidding! It’s the same! Mama always needs her coffee!

If we were on a coffee date I would probably tell you all about the 21 Day Fix which I started on Tuesday! The workouts have been good overall! I enjoy Autumn’s (the trainer) style of leading and there is no denying she is in GREAT shape. My favorite workout so far has been the upper body fix (you know I love strength training) and my least favorite has been the cardio fix (so.tired.). It’s been nice to have the structure to get me back in the habit of working out consistently. The food portion is a little challenging. Getting figured out what and how much to eat, especially on the fly, is hard, but it’s getting easier. I am loving my challenge group that I am going through this together with! I would definitely want to do it with the support! If you are interested in the 21 Day Fix and doing it with other women in a group just let me know! I’d love to help you reach your fitness goals!

If we were having coffee I would share that I am going to a planning retreat for my MOPS steering team. I am joining the team at the publicity position in the fall and I’m excited to create engaging newsletters for our girls and get the word out about how awesome MOPS is…it has seriously been such a blessing and encouragement to me the last two years!

If we were having coffee I would also probably sheepishly confess my awol status on the blog this week. Monday I was super-sick and I had so much going on with Nate working long days at camp, the toddler and baby, adding back in workouts, and figuring out the 21 Day Fix that I really didn’t feel like posting. I’m still working on planning out my content for June and really need to return to consistency and writing my posts ahead of time, but I’m just not there yet and sometimes the pressure to post-post-post gets to me. When I feel like I’m negatively stressing over the blog, then I know it’s time to take a break. Look for regular posting to resume next week!

walks and fun

Finally, I would ask about YOUR plans for the weekend? Are you going to get out and enjoy the nice weather? We’ve been doing more walks, playground time, and playing in the yard this week and it is fantastic. Have a lovely weekend!

Linking up with  Jill, Nicki, and Lynda for the Ultimate Coffee Date!
