25 Insanely Easy Healthy Snacks

Hangry feelings are the worst feelings! Beat the hangry life with these 25 insanely easy healthy snacks you can make in 5 minutes or less.

So today I’m road-tripping to my sister’s graduation in Ohio. I’m not sure how far a trip has to be to count as an official road trip, but I’ll say 3.5 hours with a baby definitely counts! And no road trip is complete without snacks! (And gas, you need gas too.) Here are some of my favorite quick and healthy snack ideas; you can count on a few of these being in my road trip stash today!

25 Insanely Easy and Healthy Snacks

  1. Banana

Easiest snack ever. Full of potassium, easy to take anywhere because you don’t even need to wash it—just peel and eat!

 

2. Dates 

Dates are a sweet treat, perfect for an energy pickup make an awesome snack choice!

3. Cheese sticks

Perfect for an on-the-go snack cheese sticks have 7 grams of protein and are perfectly portioned.  

4. Healthy Morning Glory Muffins 

These delicious morning glory muffins are a bit more labor intensive, but packed with healthy grains, hidden veggies and are perfect for meal prepping. I’ve also got a yummy Banana Applesauce Muffin and these glorious Healthy Pumpkin Muffins

5. Almonds

Love these! I keep a bag in  my desk at work for snack emergencies! Almonds are a great healthy fat, full of omega threes, so they keep you full!

5. Greek Yogurt

Oh my love yogurt. Thick, creamy, sprinkled with berries and drizzled with honey is my favorite way to enjoy! Sometimes I ignore my lactose intolerance and eat it anyways. Because it’s soo good!

6. Larabars

This is the current snack obsession in our household! Nate is HOOKED on the chocolate chip cookie kind and I love the apple pie version! Love that you can recognize all the ingredients. I’ve also been making these DIY versions at home!

8. Carrots and hummus

Fancy hummus is the best. I like to set out hummus and baby carrots before dinner to snack on while I’m getting things ready. 

9. Popcorn

This is my favorite kind of popcorn! Sometimes I add raisins or chocolate chips for some extra yumminess. 

10. Apples and peanut butter

I mean just plain apples are great too, but added some peanut butter (or almond butter or sunflower butter or nutella) is just some extra awesome-ness. 

11. Veggie Straws

These are so good! Simple. Easy. Kind of addicting. 

12. Peanut Butter Bites

These peanut butter bites are insanely good and whip up in less than 5 minutes. Store in the fridge or freezer. 

13. Granola Bars 

While I like Larabar any type of protein bar or granola bar is a quick and easy snack that is perfect for when you are on the go !

14. Beef Jerky

Another great on the go snack you can grab in a second and be on your way. 

15. Bowl of oatmeal

When you are hungry grabbing a quick bowl of oatmeal (that you can cook in two minutes or less) is a great snack option that leaves you super satisfied. Banana Bread Oatmeal is one of my favs!

16. Trail Mix 

Trail mix is something simple you can buy and is great for when you are expending a lot of energy. You can totally pick it up from the store or make your own

17. Pop Chips

These are an easy and tasty option for a quick snack! 

18. Chocolate Coconut Bites

Another great make ahead option are these chocolate coconut bites. Love these crumbled over yogurt or a smoothie too!

19. Ants on a log

Classic peanut butter and celery with the bonus raisins for the “ants”. 

20. Turkey pepperoni and cheese crackers

This is the world’s easiest snack, aka faux lunchables that is tasty, healthy and fulfills your kid nostalgia. 

21. Smoothies

Blend up a yummy and healthy snack!

22. Frozen blueberries in milk

I love this as a healthy snack option! It’s like an icey fruit freeze! You’ve got to try it. Sprinkle just a smidge of sugar or sugar substitute on top for an even sweeter treat. 

23. Deli meat and cheese roll up

Simply roll up a slice of deli meat or two in a slice of cheese for a protein packed snack.

 24. Roasted Chickpeas

Top them anyway you desire but this Sweet and Spicy Recipe has my mouth watering! 

25. No Bake Protein Cookies 

No bake cookies are so easy to make and this high protein version will have you jumping for joy.

  1. Okay, dates STUFFED with peanut butter? I don’t think I have the self control to have that as a snack, I might make it an entire meal!

    and I love greek yogurt, add some PB2, or cocoa powder, or cinnamon, or nutritional yeast, the options are endless!

    Ever try NUGO bars? They give larabars a run for their money!

    1. Haha! And now I’m re-craving Greek yogurt. 😀 And I’ll have to check out Nugo bars? Are they pricey like Larabars? I’d love a cheaper, but still delicious option!

  2. I love snacking on these, but I wouldn’t take the yogurt with me on a road trip (except if I decide to eat it right after I start the car) because the texture changes after a while. Great post!

    1. True! Sometimes I like to pack a small cooler for a road trip, but agreed they aren’t all ideal for a trip–the dates and peanut butter would def get messy! lol!
