Hey! How was your weekend? Ours was wonderful! Normally Nate works all or part of the weekend and this weekend he had completely off! Woohoo!! After a busy holiday season, traveling, and our New Year’s Conference we needed some down time.
On Friday I cleaned up Christmas. I’m always a little sad, but it’s nice to have a clean slate. I also got HIIT It by Fitnessista in the mail so I cuddled up on the couch with it for a wild Friday night. (I’d like to think this is because I’m old, but who am I kidding, I did this in college. haha!)
We spent Saturday relaxing (ie rewatching Scrubs episodes) and getting things more settled in our house. We now have the living and dining room arranged how we want them and stuff up on the walls! I like that when you move it is a new chance to remix the things you already have and create something fresh. And we’re finally using some of the things I picked up at the Country Living Fair!
On Saturday night Nate and I went to Alamo Drafthouse for dinner and to see Into the Woods. It was an interesting movie! I probably wouldn’t buy it, but I’d definitely watch it again.
Saturday was our 6 year wedding anniversary! It is crazy how fast time goes.
Sunday we went to church and I was soo tired that I took a nap with Layla right when we got home from church. The rest of our Sunday was pretty low key. I read a book (Firefly Lane…I cried), hung out, made food, kept Layla from eating trash and watched football.
So now here we are at the first Monday of the new year. And if you’ve already missed your new year’s resolution or come short of your goals, guess what? It’s okay. “Every day is fresh, with no mistakes in it.” I am choosing to start this week with intention, but without guilt. And I hope you join me.
My goals for this week:
- Workout 4 times.
- Focus on eating more protein.
- Use MyFitnessPal to track healthy eats and macros.
- Drink 2 water bottles a day.
- Get up early to read Bible 5 days this week.
- Put up some stuff on Craigslist to sell.
So that’s all for me! Gotta go get busy! Hope you have a good day!!
What goals do you have for the week? What was your favorite thing this weekend?
