Hello! As you may or may not know I have a darling sister named Becca….You may remember that Becca and I ran a 1/2 Marathon together…
This summer she is working at Gull Lake Ministries (an action-packed family camp in Michigan that is absolutely amazing and where my family is going on vacation next week!! Ahh!! So excited!!) Also, as a side note, it is where Nate and I met and started crushin’ on each other waaay back in 2007!
Okay back to Becca. Working at camp takes a LOT out of you and you are surrounded by yummy food that is not very healthy and since I knew Becca was transitioning from a more active job at camp (0-5 year old teacher/bike ride leader) to a more sedentary one (front desk receptionist) I offered to make her a 5 minute workout! I know she doesn’t have much time and has no equipment really available to her except herself and common, household objects. I envisioned her squeezing in this workout right before bed or first thing in the morning; it is SO hard to stick to a workout plan cause you have to get up super early and hopefully 5 minutes is very doable for her!
With this workout I tried to hit all the major body parts plus keep it constantly moving to keep her heart rate up! You could also repeat (up to 4 times) and rest between sets for a longer, but still high intensity workout. Although I didn’t include it in the official workout, it is always a good idea to take a minute to get your body warm in the beginning of the workout and take a minute to cool down and stretch at the end of a workout. Hope you enjoy! I know it got me sweating!
