Hey! Hope you’ve had a great week! Here are some things I’ve been loving this week.
Pregnancy Strength Training Workouts
I did two pregnancy strength circuits this week and enjoyed them both. It felt great to be moving again after a week spent knocked flat because of my cold. These are the ones I did: Arm Workout and Prenatal Circuit. Both were great!
I spent Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning helping my cousin with her new baby. He’s so cute! And honestly, SUCH good baby—he just likes to sleep and even when he is awake he’s very content. I got in some diaper changes and feedings too so hopefully it was a good “training course” for when baby girl comes.
“Healthified” Comfort Food
It must be the 5 inches of snow and freezing temps, I am loving all sorts of comfort food done just a bit healthier…potato soup and enchilada casserole were two that made an appearance this week, plus lots of oatmeal pancakes! Hopefully this weekend I can get some photos of said delicious food completed and have the recipes up for you to enjoy soon!
These have been great at keeping me on track physically and emotionally this week! I love the variety of the challenges, for example this week we were challenged to take “me time”, do a circuit workout, give back, and run/walk a fast mile. It really has kept me doing at least SOMETHING during this busy time and I appreciate all the encouragement and cheers the group gives each other—it truly is awesome!
Yesterday we had our work Christmas party which was a big project for me. Instead of the traditinoal work party we spent most of our budget on adopting a local family and blessing them with Christmas gifts and food. We divided into small groups and shopped and wrapped presents together and then prayed over our family. We also enjoyed lunch and some memorable party games (it’s always fun to see people getting a little crazy-which is a lot crazy for us since we have a pretty crazy team!). It was really cool to see how everyone embraced the non-traditional “give back” party and got into the true Christmas spirit!
