Where Did the Mojo Go?

So I’m feeling super unmotivated in the fitness arena. Just no desire to do anything. I just want to curl up in a big hoody and yoga pants cuddling my baby and call it good.

I know I need to just get over it and get out there. But I don’t feel like it.

Ugh.

  1. When I feel that way (which is often!) I just go do it anyway. Thinking about working out is often worse than doing it. Lately, I’ve tried new to me activities like swimming, barre, etc to get excited again

    1. Yeah, I know I just need to make it happen, but I seem to always find something else to do. 😛 I think part of it is that I don’t have a “workout time” and maybe I need that structure.

    1. Yeah, I think this has partly been an emotional break to with some stuff that went on last week. But it’s so easy to let a few days slide into a few weeks, ya know? I love long walks with Layla and I’ve done a couple of those during my “off” days, so maybe I just need to see this break for what it is and get back at it. (Just finished a 30ish minute strength workout–nothing crazy, but it felt good to move!)

    1. Eep! Normally something like that would motivate me too, but I have a 5K on Saturday and I’m just kind of “meh” about it.

  2. I’ve been lacking in the mojo department when it comes to my fitness for some time now. I know what I need to do/should be doing, but it seems like such a PITA 🙂 Some days I make myself do what I need to do and on those days I always feel better that I stuck with it. Switching my focus from looking better to feeling better has help to remind my that I am trying to stick with it for an important reason.

    1. Thanks! I totally agree the focus part is killing my mojo. With breastfeeding I’m just holding onto weight even doing all the things I normally do so finding the motivation to exercise when it’s not really showing up on my body is tough. But I am an all around happier, more energetic, sane person when I workout. 🙂

    1. I think I just sometimes need the break mentally more than physically. I’ve been back on my game the last 3 days so that feels really good. Picking a workout time has helped me immensely.

  3. I do crossfit at a gym and having friends who you work out with is a great motivator! Having friends to work out with is what gets me motivated.
