Peach Green Smoothie
Green smoothies are such a great way to pack in nutritional value AND they taste so good! I whipped up this peach green smoothie for an afternoon snack, but it can also be a great breakfast.
Feel free to tweak some of the ingredients to what you have on hand. Smoothies are hard to mess up and a great place to start getting creative in the kitchen! I love the use of peaches in this green smoothie!
Peach Green Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 1/2 peaches (Mine were canned so I also added about 2 Tablespoons of the peach juice.)
1 banana
1-2 cups baby spinach
1 teaspoon flaxseed
1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use Designer Whey)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
6-8 ice cubes
Directions:
Layer all ingredients except for ice in blender. Blend on medium speed until well combined and smooth. Add ice cubes and blend again until thick and creamy. Slurp up!
Kids love smoothies too! Don’t let them get picky about the color, serve in an opaque glass for sneakiness or at least get them to taste the smoothy. The peaches make this smoothy nice and sweet and it is so creamy thanks to the almond milk. You really can’t go wrong and this is the perfect “gateway smoothie” for your non-green smoothie drinking friends!

What’s your favorite smoothie combination?
I have a hard time getting into smoothies. Not sure why though…yours always look delicious!
For some reason, I haven’t been a fan of peach in my smoothies but I’ve only ever tried them frozen. Interesting addition of cinnamon too! Also, I totally have the same drink glasses! 🙂
Hmm yeah that could make a difference in the texture maybe? I just like peaches! WalMart for the win! (At least that’s where ours are from!)
