And there are a myriad of ways to experience His abundance in our lives.

How Abundance Prayer Works
You can pray this abundance prayer at any hour of the day. I’d encourage you to make prayer a daily habit whether you are praying this prayer, doing calming breath prayers, or just talking to God about your life, emotions and family.

Abundance prayer isn’t about the power of my belief, but about the power of God working in my life. Remember, God works in mysterious ways and what may feel painful or decidedly NOT like abundance right now, may be preparing me for a spiritual abundance, like greater patience, kindness, endurance or leadership skills.
It could also be preparing you for a future abundance. Remember the principle of stewardship found in Luke 16:10?
“If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.”
Luke 16:10 (NLT)
Don’t Forget These Three Things As you Pray:
- God is not Santa Clause who gives you what you wish for because You are good.
- God is not a genie in a bottle granting wishes.
- God is not Amazon Prime bringing what you ordered in two business days.
Your Role in Creating an Abundant Life
Praying a prayer doesn’t mean you don’t have a role to play in creating an abundant life. You have to continually take purposeful, fearless actions everyday that move you toward the life God has for you.
“In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”
-James 2:17
Those purposeful actions are often found in the ancient spiritual disciplines and practices such as:
- Fasting
- Prayer
- Bible Study
- Community
- Meditation
- Self-denial
This is my favorite book that outlines spiritual disciplines.
Powerful Abundance Prayer based on the Bible
Find a quiet place, take 5 deep breaths and begin to pray the following:
Lord Jesus, I come today longing for your true abundance.
I know that already…
Your unconditional love is poured out on me.
You have blessed me in the highest blessings in Christ Jesus by the gift of salvation– eternal life and relationship with You.
I have an abundance of love.
I have an abundance of Your mercy.
I have an abundance of Your faithfulness.
I have an abundance of Your goodness.
Your grace meets me on a daily basis.
You always give me what I need.
Lead me in the right time and in the right direction, O Lord.
Bring fresh healing and abundance to my life spiritually, relationally, financially, and physically.
Dear Lord, I pray you would bless me with your abundance in unexpected ways.
Open my eyes to see how You are already working in my life.
By the power of God and in Jesus name I pray.
Amen.
15 Bible Verses About God’s Abundance
The voice of the Lord you hear through the Holy Spirit will never contradict the Scriptures. I’m always doubtful when I hear people talk about God telling them to play the lottery or embark on unwise investments. Likewise God’s will for your life is unlikely to be full of corvettes and bougie vacations.
Here are some Bible verses that help us see the best things God gives His children.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it in abundance.-John 10:10
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. -Luke 6:38
All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the fruit of your ground and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you. -Deuteronomy 28:2-8
Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” -John 4:10
How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you. -Psalm 31:19
As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Holy Spirit through the bond of peace. -Ephesians 4:1-3
He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure. -Isaiah 33:6
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. -1 Timothy 6:17-18
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.-1 John 2:15
For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant. -Hebrews 9:15
As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as a good steward of the grace of God in its various forms. If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” -1 Peter 4:10-11
Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart. -Psalm 73:1
-Deuteronomy 2:7 For the Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He knows your going through this great wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you. You have lacked nothing.
Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request. -1 Chronicles 4:10
