Easy Strawberry Smoothie
Are you about ready for some healthy eating this week? After all the holiday indulgences during the past few weeks, I find that smoothies are a great way to get in healthy foods in a way that tastes awesome and, as a bonus, they are really fun to eat! This easy strawberry smoothie would also make the perfect healthy disguised “milkshake” for your child who is a picky eater. (Sneaky fruits for the win!)
Easy Strawberry Smoothie
Ingredients:
3/4 cup frozen strawberries
1 banana
1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
1/4 cup water
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 dash of vanilla
Directions:
Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend on ice setting. (Depending on the quality of your blender you may have to stop and stir the chunks around to get it to blend smoothly). If it isn’t “slushy” enough add an ice cube or two and process again. Pour into a pretty glass and sip like a lady!
The bananas and strawberries are so sweet the smoothie is sweetened naturally and the protein powder plus greek yogurt keeps you full and functioning longer. I like to use Designer Whey protein powder, but whatever you prefer is fine! If you don’t like using a protein powder, then it is totally fine to skip that ingredient, the Greek yogurt provides added protein too!
This easy strawberry smoothie is so yummy your mind will be tricked into doing something good for your body. A simple way to improve your health today and have a healthy breakfast or snack! If only running were that easy! 😉
Happy Monday!
Great recipe! Strawberries are the BEST!
Thanks! I quite agree!
ohh see?
here Id assumed the PINK would be BEETS!!!
Strawberries FTW!
Hmm yes!! I don’t think I’m cool enough to eat beets in a smoothie. 😉
My kind of smoothie! As I get healthy i 2014, this shall be on the list!
Definitely!
Strawberries are awesome in smoothies. I love adding some cocoa powder or chocolate protein powder to give it a chocolate covered taste =)
That’s a great idea! Yum!
