Hello and Happy Friday!! On this beautiful Friday morning I wanted to tell you about a very cool subscription box for runners and triathletes called Runnerbox.
I honestly found out about runnerbox through the power of google, but I am so thrilled I did. Staci the creator of runnerbox is such an inspiration and I loved hearing her story about founding runnerbox:
I have been running for about 5 years. I started with 5Ks, slowly building up and had a lot of trouble with GI issues, didn’t know what to eat, etc. It took me a long time to get it right, a lot of trial and error. I found a lot of what I really love now when I would travel to big expos, but then I would come home and couldn’t find the products here. When I did find a great product I’d buy it in bulk and hand it out to all of my friends “try this!” There are a lot of “monthly boxes’ aimed at beauty products, but I was thinking it would be awesome to have one with running stuff, healthy bars/gu/chews and stuff, I wanted to buy one! Couldn’t find anything, and so I decided (after much thought and encouragement from my sister:) to design RunnerBox. I love sharing great products, and the overall positive attitude and enthusiasm of the running/tri community!
It came promptly after I ordered it in this amazingly, adorable box. And you have to love a Lou Holtz quote on the box! Inside were lots of goodies! Three different fuels: a gel, jelly belly energy bits, honey stingers; a “picky” bar; tea; jolt, energy gum; two different pre and post workout shakes, and best of all a blinking running light for night runs!
I used the picky bar and the gel for my 7 mile run on Saturday; the gel gave me great energy and I finished feeling strong and smiling! Afterwards I ate the picky bar and it staved off the post long run munchies perfectly! Thinking about refueling and balancing eating while I’m marathon training is stressful but runnerbox made it super easy to try out new running products and feel confident with my choices!
Because Staci is completely awesome she has sweetly offerred one of my readers a FREE month of Runnerbox (or Tri-box, a supplement box but for triathletes!)
