About a month ago Nate and I went blueberry picking with the kids. It’s always an adventure when you “do something fun” with a 3 and 1 year old. This year went much smoother than last year, that’s all I can say! 😉 Layla really loved picking the berries, but she also really loved eating them. Mostly she loved eating them. Barrett loved eating them too. He wasn’t thrilled to be strapped in the stroller, but we managed to pick almost 9 pounds of blueberries before we called it.
So I had to make something delicious with all my bounty and I love the flavor combo of peach and blueberries and so this Rustic Peach Blueberry Tart was born!
This tart is so easy to make and is perfect for a summer evening dessert, but hey, I won’t judge you if you want to eat it for breakfast. There is fruit in it after all! The “rustic” nature of this fruit dessert means you don’t need to fuss about getting your crust perfectly rolled out; the imperfection is part of the charm!
