Starting Fresh Midweek
Hey guys! I just had such a wonderful weekend that I never came back! haha! Nate and I had a great time at the Tulip Festival in Holland, Michigan, a celebration of Dutch heritage, tulips, and spring! .
It was absolutely beautiful and perfect weather.  Which, I must say, this week has been totally gorgeous here in Michigan!
And in other good news—I ran yesterday with out IT pain! I could have cried for joy! I ran for about a mile and took a few walk breaks, but felt great throughout the run. I’m hoping to get another two more run/walks in this week doing a steady interval pace (3 minutes running/1 minute walking) for 2-3 miles. I’m definitely going to keep listening to my body, but I’m confident that I can reach my goal of running a 5k by the end of the month.
It really makes me so happy.
In other updates I did not track Saturday-Monday but got back on the wagon on Tuesday. I think it is very important when you have a rough day that you get right back at it! It’s never too late to start over.
So even though this is Wednesday, you can make it Monday morning. Do what you need to do today to be successful. Don’t look back, keep moving forward.
Do you need a do-over this week? What’s one way you can start fresh?
yes! every day, every hour really is a chance to change the course of things if we don’t like how it’s going.
YEAHHH for no ITB pain, I know how that goes!
Way to go! I just ran for 10 minutes without back pain, which has been a long time coming. Now I’ve just got to keep myself from coming back too fast…
Right? I KNOW I’ve got to pace myself and incorporating walking intervals as I heal, but it’s tough!
I went to a tulip festival over by Seattle last year and it was beautiful. I am always amazed by all of the bright colors.
So happy that you ran without pain too!!!!!
Heck yes for pain free running! And tulips are my favorite flower, so those look gorgeous! 🙂
I know it was so awesome!!
Those tulips are so pretty!
I love that quote. I think it’s so important to really just live in the present and take advantage of the future time you have, rather than focus on the past.
I love pain free running any day! My IT band will always act up after a run. Foam roll to the rescue!
I am so glad that you had a great time in Michigan 🙂
Ah, do overs.. Man if I can just take the last four months and erase them I would. But I just know that God has a plan and that I am grateful for. 🙂
Glad to hear that you were able to run without IT pain!
Love the pic of you two with the tulips!
