The end of summer/the start of fall was always canning season in my house growing up. There was tons of great produce that we worked together to “put up” for the seaon and peaches were a big part of it! I remember their sweet smell would permeate our house and we would can tons of peaches (I break down canning peaches in this post!), peach pie filling, and peach jam.

I’m not quite as industrious this year so I haven’t preserved anything yet, but that doesn’t mean I’m not consuming peaches in other ways. My craving for peach pie led me to make this peach pie smoothie bowl.

Peach Pie Smoothie Bowl Recipe

Smoothie bowls are kind of having a moment in the food/healthy living blogging world and I’ve always been kind of “meh” about them, but I had actually never made them. So my judgement kept me away from a VERY good thing! Smoothie bowls are just THICK smoothies–so thick that you need to eat them with a spoon! Basically this recipe reminds me of a giant bowl of soft-serve peach ice cream. Yeah, it’s that good.

This smoothie is loaded with protein thanks to the protein powder and Greek yogurt. This smoothie bowl will definitely fill you up! I feel my best when I am fueled by protein for my runs, strength training sessions, and everyday life chasing a toddler.

EAS at Target

I used the new single serving packets of protein powder from EAS to make this smoothie. I picked mine up at the promised land, aka Target, last week. You can find them in the pharmacy section. I love that you can just throw them with your gym gear or in your purse (or diaper bag, for me) for when you need a quick burst of protein while you are on the go!

  1. I loved your story about growing up canning. When I was a newlywed, we lived in a home with seven apricot trees in the yard…I quickly learned how to put up apricots!!
